Description:Comprehensive information and referral concerning human service resources in Lane County available to all, with a focus on assistance to people with low incomes or special needs. Phone and walk-in assistance is available. Adjunct services include message and mail drop services for homeless people, publication of the annual HELP Directory, screening for eye clinic and a quarterly newsletter, "In Formation". White Bird Info-Line in conjunction with a number of other Lane County agencies has a new and improved version of The Lane on-line.

A: Come in and bring I.D.

A: No. The doctors and opticians volunteer their services, and the frames are donated.

A: BenefitsCheckUp helps people to find programs for seniors that may pay for some of their costs of prescription drugs, healthcare, utilities, and other essential items or services.

Q: Where does your funding come from?
A: We are funded by the United Way, Human Service Commission, and through sales of the Help Book.

Q: How can I purchase a Help Book?
A: Come by the office Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and pick one up, or give us a call and we will mail you a brochure and order form. Information about the Help book is also available online, from where you can print an order form.

Q: How can I volunteer with Info Line?
A: The first step is to complete New Volunteer Training, which orients you to all of White Bird's programs and trains you to be the front desk receptionist. Then you can begin training with Info Line, which provides you with a strong human services foundation that is useful for any job in the field.
